Team PreparationRMI believes that in order for a team to have a successful trip they must have adequate cultural, spiritual, and practical orientation and preparation. This is key for successful Short Term Mission trips.
RMI's Team Training and Orientation for both leaders and team members is an amazing collection of materials that will provide such things as cross-cultural training and tips, Haitian history, geography, practical tips and information. It is designed to help team members be as prepared as possible. The materials dovetail and are woven together in such a way that all of the materials are used during each session. It is required for all team members to go through this 6 session program. (Five sessions are to be studied together before the team's trip and the sixth session is an important debriefing after the team returns home.) Meeting regularly before you leave not only enables a team to study the material but also builds team unity and spiritual oneness as well as provides time for planning ministry. Team Leaders, please make sure to order your needed supplies at least 4 months prior to your trip. One-Time Church Resources - These are sent to the church once and should be passed on from team to team. We will invoice you for the cost of these resources.
Required Team Materials - Each team member is required to have a manual and a devotional.
The required materials are included in your MED in-country costs.
You can order your One-Time Resources and/or Required Team Materials by filling out the Training Materials Order Form.
