Send a Team
Please follow these steps:
Duration of a normal trip: Friday to Friday. You arrive in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Friday and arrive back in the US on the following Friday. (Vision trips are shorter.)
Trip cost: There are 3 costs: (For Vision trips, please contact RMI for pricing.)
How many can be on a team?: Usually a team is a minimum of 8 people up to 15 people. If you would like to bring more than 15, you would need to see if this is possible within your situation and goals in Haiti. There are several issues to consider so you would want to confirm that more than 15 is possible with your RMI trip coordinator.
Do you have an orientation program for our team?: Yes, we have an in-depth six-session program that we require all new team members to go through as well as a 7th session for when you come back to the States. It is quite comprehensive and detailed. It will provide you with culture, Haitian history, history of the church association RMI partners with in Haiti, some basic Haitian Creole language study, what to bring, how to dress, cultural do’s and don’ts, and many other pertinent details to your trip.
Who arranges everything for a team?: RMI’s trip coordinator will work with you on all the details of your trip. Typically, you and your team leaders will work on all the arrangements necessary from Stateside, such as team member recruitment, type of project/ministry of the team, raising of funds for the team and/or projects, purchasing of airline tickets, filling out needed RMI paperwork for team members before they arrive in Haiti, forwarding projects funds and the MED funds in a timely manner to the RMI US office, etc.
RMI will make all the arrangements necessary to receive you and care for you in Haiti as well as any project/ministry preparations that are needed for your visit. You will be amazed at how well you will feel cared for by RMI and by your Haitian brothers and sisters in the churches where you will minister.
"...I especially loved when one man came up to me and asked to talk to me about the Bible. He is a young member of the church, maybe mid twenties, and he spoke some English too. So we just sat down for a while and talked about Jesus and it was so enriching! I loved my God filled experience in Haiti."
